Peter Popzlatev

Peter PopzIatev (1953) studied first at the Sorbonne and then at the Institut Louis Lumière in Paris, specializing in film, from 1974 to 1978. In 1978 he returned to Bulgaria where he worked as assistant director to Lubomir Charlandjiev. He worked for television from 1980 to 1982. In 1983 he was elcted a member of the Union of Bulgarian Film Professionals, the sole professional film organization in Bulgaria. His Az, grafinyata won the Jury's Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the Turin Film Festival in 1989.
