Richard Kwietniowski

 Born in London, Kwietniowski studied literature and film at the Universities of Kent and California and subsequently worked in the independent film sector and in media education. His first film short Alfalfa premiered at the Berlin Film Festival to international acclaim and his subsequent impressive body of work in the short film arena has won several international awards and been both a critical and commercial success, achieving theatrical distribution and TV sales in Great Britain, Europe, Australia and the USA. Since 1989, he has worked in British television, where his skills were recognized with swift promotion to the rank of series director. In 1990 he set up his own production company. Love and Death on Long Island is Richard Kwietniowski's full length feature film directorial debut.
