Kostur a former officer of a tumbledown border crossing in the desert, gets confronted with a big piece of Berlin Wall. Unable to handle this thoroughly unexpected customcheck (and as "wall" lacks to appear in his book of customs) reacts with a plain amnesia. It turns out: he forgot that he had forgotten, so he starts his same procedure again.
"As long as we forget it all will happen again. This film metaphor deals with what became a monumentum of remembrance in many ways. What was still called vague fiction back in 1988, surprisingly became history in 1989. Actuality and films reality are not only a sorrowful retrieval of the current Yugoslavcrisis, but sad proof of what plans for huge supermarkets, vast crowds of neofascists in Germany today and new dictatorships stand for: amnesia." Zvonimir Maria Grill
Born in 1964 in Dortmund (Germany), raised in Dubrovnik and Düsseldorf. First film experiences with Super8 at early age. Work ranged from sound technician over editing and finally camerawork in all major fields of professional TV production until 1984. He is studying at the DFFB with concentration on directing.
