Billie Yuen and her two friends Jade Screen Liu and Jane Chiu who came from Taiwan, share the same ideal to become famous. The three women met the drunken Tony Cheung at a lounge. Tony was madly cling to the indifferent Billie and then they cohabit. One night, when Jade Screen came home late, Jane was found being murdered. Jade Screen, Billie and Tony received Sergeant Lan's inquiry individually. Lan found a bankbook and a cassette tape, which is for her boyfriend, John Chow, in Taiwan, at Jane's room. The autopsy report indicates Jane had an abortion. Tony accompanied Jade Screen back home, the sight stroke a chord in her heart and Tony tried hard to comfort her When Lan visited them, their love affairs was brought to fight. Jade Screen was pregnant, it shocked Billie, whereas Tony felt difficult to choose. Finally, both Jade Screen and Billie decided to leave Tony. The three then noticed the one they love most is themselves. When Jade Screen made up her mind to stay in Taiwan, Billie and Tony went back to Hong Kong.

Stanley Kwan (Hong Kong, 1957) entered Baptist College in 1976 to study communication. The same year he enrolled at TVB’s training course. He joined TVB full-time in 1978. In 1979, he left the station to work as assistant director. He made his directorial debut Women in 1985. His festival career began when his second feature Love Unto Waste (1986) was invited into competition in Locarno and screened at Festival internazionale Cinema Giovani in Turin. Hold You Tight (1997) won both the Alfred Bauer Prize for Innovation and the Teddy Award, also in Berlin. His work has also been rewarded many times in the Hong Kong Film Awards and Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards.
