On the terrace of an old abandoned house at the end of a park, two young girls are playing for themselves alone Heinrich von Kleist's Puppets, dialogue between a traveller and an occasional dancer who says that mannequins only may reach that kind of innocence and grace which is reserved to gods. But the playing turns into a fantastic story as the two girls, for that night or maybe for ever become incarnate in their characters.
