Mirafiori, the historical headquarters of FIAT’s first car-manufacturing factory and a symbol of labor union’s struggles of the 1970s, is about to be revamped: the old abandoned warehouse is going to be torn down to make room for the new golf course. But Carlo, Franco and Delfino, who spent most of their lives working in that factory, are not going to leave the premises without trying one last time to repopulate the neighborhood and reconnect with their sons and grandchildren.

Stefano Di Polito

Turin, 1975) wrote and directed his debut film Mirafiori Lunapark in 2014, starring Alessandro Haber, Antonio Catania, and Giorgio Colangeli, which was presented at the Turin Film Festival. In 2015, he wrote E poi sarà amore, a diary of pregnancy seen from the father's perspective, distributed by Rizzoli, and previously recounted the founding of Italy's first anti-corruption movement in C'è chi dice no (2012). In 2019, he shot the manifesto film on ius soli Waiting, which won the Audience Award at the Glocal Film Festival in Turin. In 2022, he made Le mille notti, inspired by the novellas Le mille e una notte. In 2024, he presented the documentary La voce di Ventotene to the European Parliament in Brussels, and in 2025, he made the investigative film PIL - Perché Immigrazione è Lavoro and the documentary Nel blu dipinti di rosso.
