Graham, who works parttime in an exotic flower shop, is in analysis with Dr. Ludwig, a Czechoslovakian psychoanalyst. Their relationship is powerful and intense and one day comes to an unexpected end.

"For me film is about aesthetic and emotional precision. Loosely based on my experience of and continuing fascination with psychoanalysis. Between Two Worlds tries to say something about its seductions and frustrations, and its limitations in dealing with homosexuality". (Mark Nash)
