It is 1976 in Beirut, Lebanon: in the midst of the falling bombs of the brutal Lebanese civil war, 12 yr. olds Raffi, Paul and Ohan are lost in Beirut's dark streets, unable to get home safely. Finding shelter, they spend the night on the street, dreaming of an escape to California where so many of their friends and relatives have already gone, in search of the American Dream.

Nigol Bezjian
Nigol Bezjian, born in Lebanon in 1955, is a graduate of the UCLA Graduate School of Film and Television and of the School of Visual Arts in N.Y.C. He was the co-founder of a famous Los Angeles-based Armenian television program. His previous film, Hour of the Grey Horse (1986), received substantial attention in the USA and abroad.
