Der Koffer is the portrait of an artist, Nicole Guiraud, who with the help of objects and installations, creates a visual diary of her memories from childhood; the sea, Algiers, the trunk, the final deportation from Algeria to "homeland". At the same time a work of conceptual art and a History lesson.

Dieter Reifarth
Dietel Reifarth was born in Hadamar, Germany, in 1951. After working as assistant director to Marcel Ophuls for Le Tombes du President and Hotel Terminus, since 1986 realizes short films and documentaries.

Bert Schmidt
Bert Schmidt was born in RüsseIsheim, Germany in 1950. From 1970 to 1973 he has studied at a film school in Paris. He has worked as assistant director to Rosa von Praunheim and to Sohrab S. Saless. Since 1986 he realizes short film and documentaries.
