Federica eats the apple. The goldfish observes her. Or, does she observe the goldfish? In reality, nobody observes anybody.

"'I go where my legs carry me'. This phrase turned over and over in my head ever since I was a baby. Maybe its a proverb. Maybe my grandfather said it. Maybe it is a line from the novel Heart. What do I know about it? It is a kind of archetype. At a quick glance it is a banality, like a nursery rhyme or a lullaby whose memory never leaves us. And, instead, now that I have more or less grown up, I understand the deep meaning of this phrase. I gather its meaning of vital importance for me in my daily actions. I did not shot Esp because I was inspired by any of these reflections. Rather, I was swimming in the waters of the lake of thoughts, the little calm lake from whose magmatic depths slight bubbles of gas sometimes emerge. I am a man on the go.
