Martha Beck is a single head nurse who needs affection. She meets a nolongerveryyoung playboy Ray Fernandez through a lonely hearts' advertisement. He tries to make a living by robbing old and rich spinsters through false promises of marriage. She discovers Rays real intentions, but at the same time she has fallen in love with him. So as not to leave him, she decides to become his partner in helping him with his swindling. She passes herself off as his sister and gets him to promise not to have sexual relations with his victims. When Martha gets jealous of one of them, she kills her. The same fate befalls another woman who had discovered the real nature of the couple's activity. Next, the couple target Delphine, a still attractive widow who lives with her daughter. However, Ray and DeIphine happen to go to bed together Martha forces her man to kill the woman while she takes care of killing her daughter. Afterwards, she calls the police. They both end up on the electric chair.
