Luke, a sexy gay man, who only thinks of getting laid, makes the chance acquaintance of Jon, a somewhat confused young writer and a movie buff who likes to quote Godard and Warhol. Jon has just learned he's HIV positive. Luke and Jon began a stormy love affair in the heart of a strange and hostile Los Angeles, full of Lesbian serial killers, husband killers and anti-gay violence. One day, the triggerhappy Luke accidentally kills a cop. The two lovers flee to San Francisco, where they are refused refuge by one of Luke's friends. The couple embark on romantic flight across the United States. To survive, Luke pillages cash distributors, while Jon drives. But Jon tried to maintain a contact with the "past": at every stop, he phones his best friend, Darcy back in L.A. The wild romantic escapade takes a tragic turn when Jon tells Luke he intends to return home. Luke points the revolver at him. In a violent and romantic confrontation on an empty beach, the two lovers enact a mutual suicide.
