It is quite natural when children bury their parents. It is rather unnatural when it happens the other way round. The protagonists' 13year-old son kills himself unexpectedly, apparently without reason. The film depicts the day after the funeral. Is it an end or a new beginning? The parents both feel more and more children give up their lives the same way. They leave this world as though something was calling them from another world.

Ferenc Grünwalsky
Ferenc GrünwaIsky was born in Budapest in 1943. First he studied philology. then at the Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Budapest. where he graduated in 1968 as a director and cameraman. Already in 1963 he started working with Miklos Jancso. and was his assistant for years. From 1970 to 1974 he was among the leaders of the Béla Balazs Studio for young filmmakers encouraging the production of documentaries with a sociological angle. Occasionally he writes scenarios and works as a cinematographer, too. He was awarded the Béla Balaz's Prize in 1989.
