APPUNTI PER UNA FENOMENOLOGIA DELLA VISIONE

by Andrea De Rosa
Country: Italy
Year: 1994
Duration: 19'

This video is clearly inspired by the doctrine of transcendental phenomenology worked out by Edmund Husserl at the beginning of the century. This doctrine requires one to look for the essence of a phenomenon through a suspension (epochè) of the phenomenon itself. Only in this way, through this reduction, is it possible to return to the things themselves as they present themselves in concrete, lived through experience. Therefore the witnessing of a blind person becomes a privileged path for questioning about the phenomenon itself of sight (and with it the experience of cinema) as long as one accepts to confuse the sense of it. Certainly only apparently. Certainly only "at first sight".
