Bagnacavallo is a little town in Romagna. From about 1960 and on over the last 30 years, a series of important Italian film directors have chosen its piazzas, streets and buildings for the setting of their films. This film reconstructs the history of the encounter between the filmmakers and this place and its people.

Raffaele Rago
Raffaele Rago (1964) was a theatrical actor for several years before he began to take up film and audiovisual production. He made numerous commercials, industrial films, and documentaries for companies and agencies in Emilia-Romagna. In 1990 his video, Simboli, won the 3 minutes on a set theme competition at the Bellaria Festival. Currently he is working on the documentary film, Ravenna nel cinema in collaboration with Ansano Giannarelli.
