GIORGIO CIAM - CAMERA OSCURA - OPERE 1969/1994

Country: Italy
Year: 1994
Duration: 24'30''

Biographical profile of the artist Giorgio Ciam featuring the images 140 of his works which are broken down into their parts, deconstructed, and then reconstructed with different layouts, foreshortenings, perspectives, structures and color qualities. All this brings about a process of transformation that makes the viewer analyze the works from different visual angles, put things up in the air, and therefore make decisions about the works. The director's goal is no longer to take the role of the passive director who observes, documents, and reproduces a reality. His goal is, in contrast, to put himself next to the artist's activity in his creative process while supplying him or her, first of all, with an original support in the moment of historical documentation, and, subsequently, with an agile and dynamic exposition of the process of working at the moment when the art-making goes public.
