GROSSESSE NERVEUSE
by Denis Rabaglia
Martin, an executive in a dog food company, shudders at the thought of buying himself a doggie just to please his boss. But when he learns that Sally, a British au pair girl with whom, he had a one night stand, is pregnant with his child - and determined to bring it up atone - he is thrilled by the thought of becoming a father All he has to do is win back Sally, for whom he truly cares now. But there are pitfalls ahead, particularly in the person of his Third Worldminded mother and his barren exwife. Thanks to the support of a dotingfather buddy, a young substitute mother, and a providential midwife, among others, Martin will emerge triumphant from this false pregnancy and will have learned this lesson: that the male, when all's said and done, only plays a subordinate role in the comedy of procreation.
