Laura goes over to her boyfriend Bobby's place with a beautiful cake to celebrate the first two years since she gave up drinking. However, Bobby has fallen back into the drug habit and Laura hasn't noticed. He steals some money from her to get a fix. Laura sets up a date with Bobby for that night, but he does not show up. She feels alone and notices that he had stolen her money, so she has a degrading fling with a guy she picks up. She then looks for Julie to get some consolation, but she does not find her. Later, Julie finds her, but it is Julie who is looking for consolation. Even Bobby shows up again, but Laura does not let him come in, even though he apologizes again and again. When they are together again, Julie and Laura console themselves with lots of chocolate ice cream.
