"I shot this film in 1964 with a girl I met at a concert of an English band, The Ingoes, at the Palladium. She was wearing a green oilcloth with a yellow bull's eye on her back that she drew herself. These were the first times that you heard about the jerk' fashion. When I saw her, I said to myself: 'That's it ! It's her! It's the girl I'll make my first film with.' I was seventeen. I bought 18 or maybe 23 meters of film (I don't quite recall) and a shot a 15minute, black-andwhite, 35mm film. All in three days. That girl became a designer for Charles Jourdan. She was the daughter of an anarchist worker of Spanish origins who was working in the northeast of France. Her name was Perez. She had invented a pair of shoes whose heels were Made into aquariums containing little plastic fish. This is the story of an escape. It is the postwar generation that abandons the city and lets itself die in the country, choosing not to take the place of the preceding generation on the field of power and work."
