Paola's parents argue and are about to break up. Paola confides her pain to Marco, her boyfriend from the seashore in letters she writes on her typewriter. Luca, instead, writes a diary His parents do not understand him. Paola and Luca meet each other at a party, and manage to talk and exchange telephone numbers. The problems do not change, but it seems that something is going along better. The parents who do not ever see each other now seem to be very present and to keep watch. Luca will run away from home. Paola will start to write letters again on her typewriter.

The video workshops are some of the activities included in the scope of the project for primary and secondary prevention in District 1 (Center-Crocetta), Turin, and financed under the law, "D.P.R. 309/90 art. 127 del T.U.", included in the legislation on drug addition. The workshops involved in this project are conducted by the cooperative, Il Mutamento, at schools situated in areas of the districts where the social services have noted a strong dissatisfaction among youths as well as the presence of a large number of students from non-EEC countries with the subsequent problem of the integration of the different cultures of origin. Many teachers were involved and have collaborated extensively. This confirms all the more that teaching assumes a great importance when people work toward common goals.
