Venice, Palazzo Fortuny, summer 1993. Seven years away from the year, 2000, Peter Greenaway, one of the most brilliant presentday directors and "researchers", decides to look back (and to look at himself). When he turns around, he meets the past and memory. He thus runs into a series of genetic fragments of cinema and theater. And so he decides to go to the source, as they say, and vista the great characters of the past. The first is Mariano Fortuny. He was a painter, traveller, and scholar; but, above all, he was a lighting technician, one of the first stage technicians (art directors). He was, after all a true artist that struck Greenaway and brought him to Italy, to Venice, and to Palazzo Fortuny. Here Peter Greenaway reinterprets the atmosphere and the thoughts evoked by Fortuny's housestudio. He redecorates its facade and courtyard with arrases and fabrics. A unique, unexpected, and splendid exhibition originates from this.

Mauro Parissone
H24 is an independent television agency that was founded by the free-lance journalists, Mauro Parissone and Stefano Eco in 1991. The agency's team is made up of professional journalists and advertising people. They mainly handle the creation and production of television specials on current events, hard news, investigative reports and large-scale exposés. H24 has become a point of reference for those who want to produce a different kind of Tv in Italy. The agency collaborates with Rai and Fininvest, with the larger Tv current events magazines, and with numerous European magazines. H24 is present in the 1994-95 Tv schedule as the directing team for Piero Chiambretti and Paolo Rossi's new Rai3 program - Il Laureato - and for Rai2's program - Appunti di viaggio - In treno nella Seconda Repubblica. In addition, they are the directors-producers of Canale 5's 8mm films.
Romualdo Solera
Romualdo Solera (1961) is an independent filmmaker. He collaborated on the making of several episodes of the Rai program, Mixer. He co-directed the video, Freud mein Freund (1993) with Gianni Colosimo.
