Nice, 1975. Two adolescents, Fabio and Alain, dream of revolution, a changing world, and freedom. Fabio vegetates at school and has nobody to talk to. Alain has just arrived at Nice and does not want to fit in. Fabio sees Alain as the friend he has always been waiting for. Fabio is impassioned by revolutionary history. He is in a hurry. He wants to "blow everything up" and get into action. Alain, who loves nothing and nobody except philosophy wants above all to understand the world. Nevertheless, Alain lets Fabio drag him into his rebeffion. They feed their dreams listening to music, especially Fabio who wants to be a guitarist like his idol, Jimy Hendrix. When they try to apply their foggy theories that see revolution, terrorism, ethics and free will all seriously mixed together, they become outlaws until the time when they betray each other. The adventure goes nowhere. Each one - Fabio, the eloquent Nice native, and Alain, the rationalist - achieves his own destiny.

Laurence Ferreira Barbosa
Laurence Ferreira Barbosa (Versailles, France; 1958) made his first short film Paris ficelle (1982) when he was only twenty four. It won the jury's special award at the Belfort festival. In 1983 his Adèle Frelon est-elle là? also won an award at Clermont-Ferrand. His first feature film, Les gens normaux n'ont rien d'exceptionnel (1993), earned various favorable mentions in France. His Paix et amour (1994) appeared in the successful television series Tous les garçons et les filles de mon âge.
