The king of a Djerma village puts the wife of one of his subjects to the test. Her husband, a humble fisherman, is sent away with an excuse: the king gives him a ring to return in a year's time. The wife will be faithful and the husband will return the ring, winning the king's reward.
The story is based on a popular Djerma legend.
