LA MALLE DE MAKA KOULI

A man sets off and leaves his son Seydou in the care of his dearest friend, Malick, together with a trunk containing all his possessions. Seydou becomes a man but Malick never mentions the treasure he is guarding. When the young man decides to marry Aminata, his mother informs him of the possessions guarded by his father's friend. But Malick claims that the trunk is his. The matter is turned over to Serigne, the sage, who suggests that the two couples, Seydou and his mother against Malick and his wife, are put to a test of resistance.
