Seven-year-old Stefano faces his first day at school amid his "tv commercial fantasies" about his own ideal family, "real life", and "emotional mystification".

"I loved the idea of a film whose real protagonists were 'the ways of telling a story', 'filmic constructions', and 'images'. These ways that are used to communicate should be contrasted with each other. Commercials are only one point of departure for short films. I think that what is being discussed also applies to any 'dishonest' film.

My sense of anguish and mystification grows out of the impossibility of knowing the reality and the real emotions that are behind the façade" (Emiliano Corapi).<
