Giulia is about to leave Milan in order to join Pasquito, who lives a long way from her in Marseilles. Her doubts and uncertainties about the future are strong and pressing. Giulia's grandmother is waiting for her in her mysterious house. She might be able to help Giulia. Dreamy and lucid at the same time, she gives her a suitcase with a whole sweet and eccentric story of her family to be remembered and continued. This is an essential and weird piece of baggage, thanks to which her awaited moment will arrive and she will know that she is finally leaving.

"I wanted to make a film like a fairy tale. The time and place of this story are for me an abstraction of the time and place of a fairy tale - a bitter fairy tale because it tells of a leaving and it is painful to leave without betraying or forgetting" (François Farellacci).
