We review the history of the Genoese labor movement in this film, which is entirely composed of stock footage that has been re-edited. There are images of May 1, 1907. There is Maurizio Pollini's concert in an occupied factory in 1972. The narrative of the film develops divided into thematic sections linked to the main labor activities. There are the port, the shipyards, the steel mills, and the factories. The voice over comments are drawn from the testimony of workers and read by present-day Genoese workers.

Silvia Savorelli
Silvia Savorelli (Ravenna, 1967) is a director and documentary filmmaker who has made many films that have appeared in the most important national film series. Her Divieto di affissione was screened at the 1992 Torino Film Festival. Currently, she is coordinator and instructor in European Union professional training courses and in seminars at DAMS, Bologna University, where she specializes in instructing the use of archival material for making documentary films.
