The film describes the first (and the last) 24 hours of a criminal who has just been let out of prison. Once let out, he starts off again on the lookout for new victims. The noise of a cafe near the prison and his fear of being noticed lead him to give up the action he was planning, even if he had been attracted by two young women. A taxi driver is miraculously spared when he lets the killer of in the open countryside. The police get going on his trail, but a terrible series of murders is about to take place.

Gerard Kargl
Gerard Kargl (Villach, 1953) studied pedagogy and moved to Vienna in 1977. He made numerous documentaries and a single feature film, Angst.
