Country: Italy
Year: 2001
Duration: 70'

This film features Fernanda Pivano and her latest trip to the Unites States on the trail of her friends - the great twentieth-century American poets and novelists. We recall her translation of Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms and her meetings with Kerouac, Corso, Ferlinghetti, Burroughs and Ginsberg. We cannot forget her support for the younger authors Barry Gilford, Bret Easton Ellis and Jay Mac Inerney. These are the passions and the recollections of a woman who has already entered literary legend.

"Along with Fernanda Pivano this documentary strives to get us to know some of the most important American writers of the last century and to discover them in a way that is not normally done in the usual media accounts" (Luca Facchini).
