Cecilia lives with her family in a small town by the sea. Their family life is tormented by fights, incomprehensions and neuroses. After realizing how impossible it is to change the insane and unstable equilibrium which holds everything together at home, she runs away. Her father and mother are desperate. Friends, relatives and increasingly eccentric people arrive to show their solidarity, and the situation becomes impossible for Cecilia's parents. They start to lose their sense of reality…

Antonio Morabito
Antonio Morabito was born in Carara in 1972 and lives in Rome, where he works as an editor of video clips, commercials and documentaries. In 1996 he founded the cinematographic production house Randalemenairs with Stefano Romani. Cecilia is his first feature film and is based on the homonymous short film, which won second prize in the Italian Spotting section of the 1999 Torino Film Festival.
