Kazuya, Masaru and Shusuke have been friends for years. They are about to graduate from high school in Okinawa. Kazuya will go to university in Tokyo, while Shusuke has enrolled in London. The three friends all begin a new life and they may never see each other again. Therefore, on the eve of their departure, they pass the evening together drinking.

Nakagawa Yosuke

Nakagawa Yosuke was born in Tokyo in 1961. In 1984 he began to work for SSC Publishing after graduating in Commerce and Economics from Musashi University. He gained experience as director-in-chief for a teen magazine and produced radio and television programs. In 1995 he quit his job in order to found Tayhoo Company, a cinematographic production house. The next year, he debuted as a director with Aoi Sakana, which was presented at the Berlin Festival. Departure is his second full-length film.
