The sound track of the Coen brothers' film Brother Where Art Thou? (2000) was extremely successful and brought bluegrass music back into the public eye. This interest convinced the Coen brothers to organize a big concert - directed by the producer and musician T-Bone Burnett - which would include all the musicians who participated on the movie's sound track. The director D.A. Pennebaker was asked to document this extraordinary event, and he called upon his closest and most trusted collaborators to help film the concert.
