Aldis is a very beautiful wooden puppet. She is seated at a table lit by the light coming through a dingy window that looks out over rooftops in Rome. A noise distracts her. It is the sliding sound of a letter being pushed under the door of her very unique room. Aldis reads the letter. A lover tells her that he has to put off their date for some useless reasons. Desperation takes of Aldis, who decides to put the letter in a container that has "love number 1000" written on it. On the bookcases there are very many containers that are nothing other than the contents of her very many love letters.
