Konuma Masaru

Konuma Masaru was born in 1937 in Otaru, on the island of Hokkaido. He began working for Nikkatsu in 1961. He directed his first feature film, a porno-romance entitled Kashin no sasoi (Temptation of a Flower) in 1971. He has specialized in this genre. Once the season of porno-romance films ended, Konuma remained inactive for ten years. He broke the silence last year with Nagisa. He has directed over forty films.
