These are the stories, hallucinations, and perspectives of the people of the night that have been collected from the appearances they made inside of a video box that was set up in 18 different discos in Piedmont. The teenagers and young people who talk belong to the group that has usually been defined — superficially and disparagingly — as the "disco people". Their talk runs the range from "exploits" to confessions and complaints. There are tales of "adventures," dreams, and episodes of decidedly "chemically induced" euphoria as well as periods of simple silence.
"This sufficiently representative sample of the languages, faces, ideas, noises, and sounds of a generation is made without the mediation of the interview format and without any rhetorical or analytical purpose at all. It is so surprising that, on more than one occasion, we have to notice the distance between the cliche of the young disco goers and reality" (Luca Pastore).
