Gabriel de Halleux is a forty-five-year-old patriarch of a Catholic family that had met with constant good fortune. In 1948 he sold all his possessions to sail to Patagonia with a tribe of friends and relatives. He was to find a land that was different than the one he had dreamed of. Despite this, Gabriel showed the suborned that real explorers have and slowly learned how to discover not only a land but also himself.

Anne Levy-Morelle
Anne Levy-Morelle (1961) studied at the School of Letters at the Free University of Brussels and then at INSAS. Le reve de Gabriel is her firts feature film. In 1997 she worked as assistant director for the Dardenne brothers' Falsch. At present she is Maître de conférences at the Free University of Brussels.
