The story of the execution of Odell Barnes, who was born in Wichita Falls and was put to death at the age of 31 in the prison at Huntsville, Texas on March 2, 2000. For almost a decade this prisoner on Death Row fought behind bars to get his case reopened; his death sentence had been highly controversial. The film doesn't try to take a stand regarding Barnes' guilt or innocence, but rather, it points out that the investigation was carried out by people whose goal was to find a guilty person and put him to death.
