On the holiday celebrating Springtime, Mr. Abdu Al Hadi decides to spend a quiet day far from his chaotic and noisy neighborhood, and goes to visit his granddaughter Batata. But an anonymous love letter that is sent to her causes an uproar at home. Abdu Al Hadi decides to return to Cairo.
"Nawader Abdu Al Hadi Afendi is one of the most important talking short films of the 1930's; it is also a bitter critique of the behavior of the inhabitants of Cairo's poorer neighborhoods. It is the only film featuring the actor Aziz Eid, one of the most famous theatrical directors of the first half of the 1900's".

Abdu Al Fattah Hasan
Abdu Al Fattah Hasan (1910-1951) began his career as a theatrical actor with the Ramsis Group. He worked as assistant director at Studio Misr right from its inauguration in 1935.
