Silvia has run away from home. She harbors a secret. She has a return to complete. This will be a victory over the person who has been waiting for her for months. This will be a defeat. This is because she has lost something that she cannot get back. And then, there is a normality that she has to defend, even at the cost of pretending that nothing is wrong even if her world of tomorrow can no longer be what is was before.

"… the attempt not to be or not to try to be what the others want you to be, how the others see you, and how they would want you to be. This is the story of Silvia. Her flight comes from this, perhaps from her fear of disappointing the others, or perhaps from trying to be herself, to accept what she has done and what there is. There is the abandonment and the return, a defeat and a victory" (Cristina Catalani).
