This documentary investigates the kidnapping, rape and murder of over 230 young women in Juárez, Mexico. The testimonies of the victims' parents bring to light a series of terrible crimes which began in 1993 and which are still being committed today. Although the police has arrested numerous suspects, no one has ever been incriminated.

Lourdes Portillo

Lourdes Portillo began working in cinema when she was only 21 years old and graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her second documentary, Las Madres de Plaza de Mayo (1986), received an Oscar nomination and won over twenty prizes at international festivals. Her main interest is studying the Latin American identity and its relationship with North American culture.
