This is the story of killers, maniacs, and other persons who have been taken out of society. They are gathered in the cells and hallways of the Aversa Judiciary Psychiatric Hospital. We see the images, the faces, and the memories of the unfortunate people who are living out their lives inside an all-encompassing institution.
"Insanity exists. It is useless to pretend that nothing is wrong, to try to contain the problem within hybrid institutions that are halfway between prisons and hospitals. Civil society has the duty to come up with adequate solutions that can guarantee a kind of recuperation for everyone, even for those people who are at the point where they have to make an effort to recognize themselves" (Fabrizio Lazzaretti).
