Marco has killed his father. It seems like just one of the many unexplainable crimes that happen in well-to-do circles in Northern Italy. The assassin flees to a seaside resort and mingles with the tourists. Rinaldi, the policeman who has been sent to arrest him, finds him and understands that Marco isn't a criminal, but a young man who is burdened with a deep trauma that was caused in the past.

Andrea Porporati
Andrea Porporati is an author and screenwriter. He has published two novels edited by Mondadori, La felicità impura (1990) and Nessun dolore (1993), and has co-written the screenplays of Stato d'emergenza by Carlo Lizzani, Lamaerica by Gianni Amelio, La Piovra 7,8, and 9, Vite in sospeso by M. Turco. He debuted in 2000 as a director with the short film Quello che posso permettermi, which was awarded a prize at Bellaria and is competing in Tampere. Sole negli occhi is his first full-length film.
