At a time when many on-line companies are going bankrupt because of the increasingly unpredictable economic situation, the directors of this film decided to document the behind-the-scenes aspects of this phenomenon. They followed the development of govWorks.com, a Web site that was created to facilitate relationships between local government, citizens and companies. The portal was founded by Tom Herman and Kaleil Isaza Tuzman, two friends who, from one day to the next, found themselves at the head of a company that was famous throughout America.

Chris Hegedus
Chris Hegedus, who was born in 1952, has worked as editor, director of photography, sound and director on numerous documentaries. He has worked with D.A. Pennebaker since 1977.

Jehane Noujaim
Jehane Noujaim was born in Egypt, where he got his start in cinema as a director and photographer. In 1990 he moved to Boston to study at Harvard University, from which he graduated with honors in Philosophy and Visual Arts. He then began producing short non-fiction films in the Middle East and in the United States. He has worked for MTV and is the founder of Noujaim Films.
