Through sequences from Italian films from 1955 to the present in an effort to analyze and reflect upon the historical progression of the relationship of Italians with the television. The video begins with the collective TV-watching in bars and homes and ends with the use of the TV by lone individuals. As time passes, more and more time of the day is taken up by people manipulating their ways through TV schedules with their remote controls.

Davide Rampin

Davide Rampin (Padua, 1977) is enrolled in the University School of Communication Sciences, where he is attending courses on Film History and Criticism and the Semiotics of Audiovisuals and Cinema. His video, Tele-visioni, was made for the seminar on Grammar and Syntax of Audiovisual Language.
