These are the personal experiences of several AIDS victims in South Africa, the country with the highest growth rate and the highest percentage of people infected. The problem of AIDS goes beyond the personal factors of a virus that reproduces itself inside the human body. There is a social, political, and economic battle that highlights the contradictions in the practical application of globalization.

"It gives you a trauma to understand the hardness of the avidity of the multinational pharmaceutical corporations. They aggressively defend their billion-dollar profit market while millions of AIDS victims who have no access to drugs die before their time without dignity. Do we have to mention genocide? We are all responsible for one another and if Africa dies, it will be the death of the rest of the world" (Kali van der Merwe).
