Edmond is a bird who sings inside a cuckoo clock; he feels very lonely. His family has continued the cuckoo tradition through the generations. Edmond doesn't ever complain and continues doing his job until Lucien, who sings in the cuckoo clock next door and who has known him since they were young, decides to go visit him.
"This film tells how Edmond, a prisoner of his cuckoo clock, finally discovers freedom" (Céline Macherel).
