UNA SERATA CON IL DOTTOR HOFFMANN

UNA SERATA CON IL DOTTOR HOFFMANN

Country: Italy
Year: 2001
Duration: 5'40''

Dr. Hoffmann, the inventor of aspirin, is returning home and, as usual, he takes one of his famous pills. The twist is that from this moment on the leading actor is the aspirin, from its subjective point of view.

"The visual language used has been liberally borrowed from the so-called noir B-movies; for example, the shooting angles, close-up details, the contrasting light and the long shadows. The idea is to show how, by modifying the position of the observer with respect to any object, the object itself is modified and can be viewed in a way that is emotionally different, undergoing projections that alter its substance" (Thorsten Kirchhoff).
