AM HIMMEL DER TAG

BREAKING HORIZON
by Pola Beck
Country: Germany
Year: 2012
Duration: 86'

Twenty-five-year-old Lara will soon receive her degree in architecture and doesn’t really know what she wants to do with her life. To escape her doubts and worries, she spends her nights clubbing with her friend Nora, but she soon tires of this distraction, too. Everything changes when she discovers she is pregnant after having sex with a stranger she met in a disco. Overcoming her initial confusion and hesitation, Lara throws herself into an adventure that will give some meaning to her life. But her growing enthusiasm is brusquely checked. The only solution is to pretend nothing happened, as she searches for a feeling of personal realization that is too important to her.
