FINAL CUT - HÖLGYEIM ÉS URAIM

FINAL CUT - LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
by György Pálfi
Country: Hungary
Year: 2012
Duration: 85'

How to portray on the silver screen the definitive love story, one which can make the heartstrings thrum of the lovers experiencing it, as well as those of the spectators watching the movie? The solution is: bring together all the most beautiful love stories there are, the most famous ones, the most beloved, the most quoted in moviemaking history and blend them together into one single story, starting with two strangers exchanging glances. Because it is from a glance, a one-way glance, captured by the images created in a beam of light, that our love of cinema was born.

Declaration

film director

“The last three or four years the Hungarian film making is totally done, so we can just hope that in the future we will find money to make new movies. We just want to work. To make films we need money and now we hope the government will give us money. I wanted to make a good movie, of course; and I tried to find a way to make a good one. If nobody can shoot in Hungary, I found a way, a solution.”
