In a rural community in England, adolescent Rufus and his best friend, Flip, discover that they share feelings they can’t define but which go beyond friendship. Declaration

film director

“The film offers no specific solutions but renders poetically the difficulties involved. While the film and the real lives it is based upon contain great sadness and loss, there is finally an ambiguous hope in others, in the lyricism of nature, and the promise of youth.”
